When people come for trials they expect an organized, orderly and above all - a fair trial experience. Our current process delivers all that.

The perception of our club and how professional it acts is confirmed in the first 7 seconds upon arriving. How the child arrives and checks

in, the punctual support staff, the warm, inviting welcoming the people to our club; a functional well managed admin desk checking all

information twice over making sure all the details are correct, the delegation of all the numbered bibs all play a part in the overall customer experience.

When the parent’s child is playing all eyes are on the selector and head coach hoping they saw every bit of that play and praying you caught

that great moment. Its tense and heart pulsing.

All players existing and new must compete for the right to wear a “Green” bib; only this way you will find the best 11 players on the day – by playing

against each other. Every player is put in the one pool and everyone is put through a tough duress. On day 1 - I believe we run the fairest trials of them all.

The “Green Team” must the strongest. What is evident over the days and clear to everyone that all players must compete against the “Green” team.

Over the 3 days – The final squad is picked.

I believe everyone should experience this feeling.  On the final day the joy of receiving a “successful’ selection to play for this amazing club is rewarding for all.

Our Process:- Day 1

- The announcement of our successful U13 coaching and

support staff prior to trial commencement.

- Our Admin desk collecting EOI applications via emails and SMS

- Admin Desk confirming each applicant returning a receipt

- Admin desk preparation and equipment (Balls, Bibs, Cones, Flowers &

sweets for the desk)

- The 2 existing U12 teams and players from the public who registered their

EOI all assembled together for Day 1.

- The Admin desk and support staff welcome people through the door with

a warm and friendly smile/attitude providing a pleasant and relaxed

customer experience for the people.

- A selection of our existing coaches wearing their Oakleigh Cannons FC

support uniforms are invited to mark players on Day 1. Firstly, they are briefed

and are given a clip board anf pen. At the end of the night they will be asked to

provide in the deliberation phase their "Yes" and "No" selection.

- On Day 1 the Head coach will pick the best 11 seen. The markers are only there

to provide support and their view. The head coach can always supersede

selections and have the final say. Day 1 belongs to the coach.

- The Admin desk will receive the 11 best seen from head coach. They will receive

the "green" bib on day 2.

- The Admin desk will send an "unsuccessful" note to the "No" players.

- 3 Teams will be called back. (Red, Green & Orange)

- The Admin desk orders & prepares dinner for all staff during the deliberation

phase.

Resources: Setup & pack up team; makers, admin desk, referees, lines people

& ball boys, warmup and warm down team; timer controller.

Technical Director deliberation phase signs reviews/checks and

signs off on day 1

Our Process: - Day 2

It is important the green team be strong and dominant; The Head coach can use day 2 to twig selections if needed. One can say the people in the green team have one foot in the door.

The players in the other colors must push for selection and try and get a green top while the green team stay dominant so they dont lose a green top.

Competition is intense. The Green team must win both matches and be dominant;

The Head coach and support staff again deliberate; the idea is to pick the next best 7.

- The Admin desk prepares dinner for all staff during the deliberation phase.

- The Admin desk will send an "unsuccessful" note to the "No" players.

- 2 Teams will be called back. (Green & Orange)

Resources: Setup & pack up team; makers, admin desk, referees, lines people & ball boys, warmup and warm down team; timer controller.
